Roy joined our Three Rivers Family Medicine clinic on March 7, 2023. He has worked in primary care for 10 years in south Okanogan County, but he has been a Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) for over 17 years.

Roy’s experiences as a lifeguard in high school and college, then as an EMT-B for five years inspired him to pursue a career in medicine. In 2005, he earned a master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from the the University of Texas Medical Branch.

One of Roy’s favorite things about being a healthcare provider is the connections he has made with his patients.

“For a lot of my families, I have helped to take care of three generations and it’s so rewarding for me,” he said.

Roy treats patients of all ages under the umbrella of primary care, but his favorite focus is pediatrics.

“I love doing well child checks, sports physicals, and minor office procedures like toenail removal and suturing,” he said.

When Roy isn’t working, he is spending time with his wife, Mandi, and their three teenage boys. Some of their favorite activities include hiking, swimming, mountain biking, camping, and floating the river. In the winter, they do a lot of downhill skiing at the Loup. Roy has been a volunteer on Ski Patrol  for over 10 years.

Roy sees patients every Tuesday through Friday at Three Rivers Family Medicine. To schedule an appointment, please call 509-689-3749.
